FEMALE COMMUNITY RANGER PROGRAM
By recruiting and training female rangers from local communities, the National Park Rescue aims to reduce wildlife poaching and trafficking, and alleviate poverty. Women invest more than 50% of their salary back into their families than men, are more effective at de-escalation, and at intelligence gathering, so hiring women is an effective mechanism for poverty reduction and increases the likelihood of preventing a poaching incident.
